Harmony House
In my Residential Design II Class, we have entered into a design competition through the Bienenstock furniture library. Our project is to design the Harmony House located in Seattle Washington. The house is specifically designed for runaways ages 10-17. The whole concept is to provide a healing and rehabilitating environment for the teens.
The first floor consists of the sandwich shop which is open to the public. I have a small area at the left as soon as you walk in. It step's up to another level to create visual interest in the space. The first floor will also consist of the reception area which is located on the opposite side of the building.
The second floor will consist of six resident rooms with a bathroom and shower. There is also a commons area for games and socialization with one another.
